The invention relates to a convertible furniture system for selectively providing at least one flat sleeping pad or a box-shaped storage unit, which furniture system comprises a flat bottom and a wall element comprising an upper edge and an opposite lower edge as well as outer surfaces and opposite inner surfaces, which is arranged to face a cavity when the system provides a storage unit, which wall element is removably attached to the flat bottom by first means. The invention also relates to the use of a convertible furniture system for providing a storage unit such as a playpen or storage unit for toys such as balls, or for providing a sleeping pad especially for babies and young children. WO 03/084369 A1 comprises a modular furniture system comprising several padded or inflatable cushions. These can be used to form a flat surface for play etc. or a three-dimensional composition for storing toys or other things. The pillows are assembled using zippers, which partly makes the assembly difficult to carry out and partly leads to hard and uncomfortable elements on the pillows when these are to be used as sleeping pads. Finally, the system is very voluminous.
    It is the object of the present invention to improve convertible furniture systems in which the above-mentioned disadvantages and shortcomings are overcome, or at least a useful alternative is provided. The present invention makes it possible to create at least two different pieces of furniture from the same two basic modular units, without the need to use tools, external fastening devices or the like to

According to the invention, there is provided a modular furniture system as indicated in the introduction, and wherein the furniture system consists of two modules: the flat bottom and the wall element, which is a continuous, foldable unit, and that the first means comprise a velcro assembly comprising two velcro parts, a band-shaped velcro hook portion and a band-shaped velcro loop portion, and that one velcro portion is attached to the periphery of the bottom throughout its circumference and that the other velcro portion is attached to the lower edge substantially | that the entire edge extends, and that a box-shaped storage unit is provided when the two velcro parts engage with each other, and that a flat sleeping pad is provided when the velcro parts are separated from each other.
    The system thus consists of just two units, namely a bottom and a wall element. Both parts are formed in a soft and flexible material so that the bottom is comfortable to use as a sleeping pad, and that the wall element due to its continuous and foldable construction can be folded so that it takes up very little space. When the storage unit is provided, the wall element closes in a comfortable and efficient manner. This is important when the unit is used as a playpen. Due to the velcro, which with one part is located in the entire periphery of the bottom, and the other part is located on the edge of the wall element, which faces the bottom, the two modules can be assembled quickly and efficiently while being easy to separate. .     An assembly of a storage unit by the present invention can be provided without the use of tools and fasteners just as the separation is made without the use of aids.
    By the loop part of the velcro is meant the part of a velcro which consists of "hair" / the threaded material that the hooks from the other velcro part can intervene in.
    According to an exemplary embodiment, the wall element comprises four wall parts, a first, second, third and fourth wall part, and the wall parts are connected to each other by flexible connecting parts integrated in the wall parts so that the wall element forms a continuous, simple, foldable module.
    By closed module is meant that the circumference of the wall element, when the wall element is turned out to encircle a maximum volume of a cavity, constitutes a closed square or rectangular unit.
    Typically, the wall element is made of a flexible material such as foam rubber, which is sewn into a fabric, and where the flexible connecting members are thus formed of the fabric, or by each wall part being sewn into a fabric and then sewn together along the short edges and where they flexible connecting links also consist of fabric part from one wall part, which is sewn together with fabric part from the other wall part.
    This provides a closed square / closed rectangle.
    The advantage of the flexible connectors is, among other things, that the wall parts can be folded when they are not to be used, whereby they take up a minimum of space.

    According to an exemplary embodiment, each wall part is shaped such that they are terminated by a substantially flat lower edge and two opposite side edges, as well as an upper edge opposite the lower edge, and that the upper edge is flat or alternatively concave or convex or on otherwise shaped differently from a planar surface. The flexible connecting elements are thus an integral part of the side edges. According to an exemplary embodiment, the loop part of the velcro system is attached to the bottom and the hook part is attached to the lower edge. This ensures that the bottom, when used for sleeping pads, exclusively comprises a soft surface without hard elements. The velcro is preferably attached as a band to the lower edge of each wall section. According to an exemplary embodiment, both the bottom and the wall parts are provided in a soft and flexible material such as a foam rubber. Foam rubber is in common parlance a common term for both polyether and cold foam materials with open / closed cells in many qualities. Quality is known i.a. on bulk density / hardness (kg. per m3 foam), tensile strength, elasticity and fire retardant properties. A suitable foam rubber material in this context is primarily a polyether foam rubber material with the data 25/38. The fibers in polyether foam are softer fibers compared to a cold foam and thus often provide a softer comfort. The polyether foam is distinguished by being moisture-resistant, flexible, thermally and sound-insulating and lightweight. It can be surface treated and
    DK 2019 00724 A1 is applied with adhesive. The selected foam rubber has a density of 23-26 kg / m3, a tensile strength of 3.4-4.25 kPa, an elasticity of 38-42% preferably 40%, a tensile strength of at least 100 kPa and elongation at break of at least 175% .

    According to an exemplary embodiment, the bottom is square or rectangular in shape and with an even thickness, formed in a flexible and soft material.
    The square or rectangular shape makes it easy to shape a storage unit.
    According to an exemplary embodiment, the connecting parts are provided by a fabric or elastic material located between adjacent wall parts and connected to their side edges.
    According to an exemplary embodiment, the wall parts comprise a surrounding cover and along the side edges of the wall parts the cover is extended to provide the connecting parts.
    That the cover is extended must be understood that in the area between the side edges of two adjacent wall parts there is an extension of the extent of the cover, which thus in a space of 2-3 cm between two wall parts consists exclusively of fabric / canvas. This provides the flexible connector. The connecting parts can also be provided in that each wall part is made with a surrounding cover, and that the wall parts are subsequently connected with flexible elements along the side edges, for example by a seam, or that a piece of fabric or elastic material is sewn into the area.
    According to an embodiment, the band-shaped velcro part of the bottom is located in the periphery of the bottom, equivalent and congruent with the lower edge of the wall element, when the wall element is unfolded to provide a closed

It is of course important that the velcro system is shaped on each part in such a way that all the velcro hooks attached to one part of the furniture system can engage the velcro loops placed on the other part of the furniture system. According to one embodiment, the wall element is foldable and is substantially square or rectangular box-shaped when folded, to provide a shape where it fills as little as possible. The wall element has a volume when folded, which is essentially the sum of the volume of each wall element. According to an exemplary embodiment, a seat cushion is provided by folding the wall element.
    According to an exemplary embodiment, the cavity is delimited by the substantially planar surfaces and is open in the area opposite the bottom. According to an exemplary embodiment, the thickness of the wall parts and the thickness of the bottom are approximately the same and are 2-5 cm, preferably 3-4 cm. This thickness provides sufficient comfort while being flexible when packing. According to an exemplary embodiment, the convertible furniture system comprises a flexible band comprising a first band side and an opposite second band side, and that the band comprises a velcro closure such that the first side comprises velcro hooks and that the second side comprises velcro loops. The strap can be used to stabilize the side of the wall element when a storage unit is provided. The strap can also be used to stabilize the folded wall element when used as a seat cushion.
    DK 2019 00724 A1 7 The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the figures in which: FIG. 1 shows a convertible furniture system according to the invention comprising a wall element and a base for providing a box-shaped storage unit. FIG. 2 shows the device shown in FIG. 1 used bottom and for use as a flat sleeping pad.
    FIG. 3 shows that in fig. 1 wall element used. FIG. 4 shows that in fig. 3 and folded together.
    FIG. 1 shows a convertible furniture system 1 according to the invention comprising a wall element 5 and a flat bottom 4 for providing a box-shaped storage unit 3. The wall element 5 comprises an upper edge 6 and an opposite lower edge 7, outer surfaces 8 and opposite inner surfaces 9. The inner surfaces 9 encircle a cavity 10 and together with the bottom 4 produce a box-shaped storage unit closed on 5 sides and open 25 at the top. The furniture can be used for a playpen or for storing the child's toys. Wall element 5 is removably attached to the flat bottom 4 by first means, which is a velcro joint 12.
    The Velvro assembly 12 comprises - see fig. 2 and fig. 4 - two velcro parts 13, a band-shaped velcro-hook part 14 and a band-shaped velcro-loop part 15. One velcro-part 14,15 is attached to the periphery 16 of the bottom 4 in its entire circumference, and that the other velcro-part 14 , 15 is fixed to the lower edge 7 along the entire edge. As can be seen from FIG. 2,4, the loop portion 15 of the velcro system 12 is attached to the bottom 4, and the hook portion 14 is attached to the lower wall edge 7. A box-shaped storage unit 3 is formed when the two velcro portions 14,15 engage with each other. When the velcro parts 14.15
    DK 2019 00724 A1 8 are separated from each other, a flat sleeping surface 2 is formed. The wall element itself can be folded and possibly used as a seat cushion. Conveniently, the system also comprises a velcro closure strap which can be wrapped around the folded wall element and stabilize the seat cushion. The wall element 5 - see Figures 3 and 4 - comprises four wall parts a first 17, second 18, third 19 and fourth 20 wall part. The wall parts are connected to each other by flexible connecting parts 21 integrated in the wall parts 17,18,19,20 so that the wall element 5 forms a foldable, continuous single module as seen in Figs. 3 and 4. Each wall part 17,18,19,20 is shaped so as to be terminated by a flat lower edge 22 and two opposite side edges 23 ', 23 ", and an upper edge 24 opposite the lower edge 22. The upper edge 24 is flat or alternatively concave or convex or otherwise shaped differently from a flat surface. In the example shown, the upper edge 24 is planar. Mounted on the lower edge 22 of each wall part is a band-shaped velcro hook part 14. Each wall part is wrapped in a woven fabric / canvas and the connecting parts 21 are integrated in the wall parts 17,18,19,20 so that the wall element 5 forms a continuous single module. The connecting parts 21 consist of the elongation of the fabric in the area along the side edges 23,23 ”of each wall part.
    The wall element 5 is thus a continuous, foldable unit. FIG. 2 shows the bottom 4 which, when separated from the wall element, forms a flat sleeping pad 2 especially suitable for babies and smaller children. The bottom 4 in this example is shaped square, so that the wall element 15, which is to be used for this bottom 4, also forms a square frame with the same length on the sides as the side lengths of the bottom 4. | the periphery 16 of the bottom 4 is mounted on a velcro part 13, here a band-shaped velcro loop part 15, which runs in the entire circumference of the periphery 16. Thus, it is important that the shape of the band-shaped velcro-part periphery of the bottom be equivalent and congruent with the lower edge of the wall member when folded out to provide a closed circular unit.

    A convertible furniture system (1) for selectively providing at least one flat sleeping pad (2) or a box-shaped storage unit (3), said furniture system (1) comprising a flat bottom (4) and a wall element (5) comprising an upper edge (6) and an opposite lower edge (7) as well as outer surfaces (8) and opposite inner surfaces (9) arranged to face a cavity (10) when the system (1) provides a storage unit (3), which wall element (5) is removably attached to the flat bottom (4) by first means characterized in that the furniture system (1) consists of two modules: the flat bottom (4) and the wall element (5), which is a continuous, foldable unit, and that the first means comprise a velcro assembly (12) comprising two velcro parts, a band-shaped velcro-hook part (14) and a band-shaped velcro-loop part (15), and that one velcro-part (14,15) is attached to the periphery (16) of the bottom (4) throughout its circumference and that the second velcro part (14,15) is fixed t to the lower edge (7) substantially the entire extent of the edge, and that a box-shaped storage unit (3) is provided when the two velcro parts (14,15) engage with each other and that a flat sleeping pad ( 2) is provided when the velcro parts (14,15) are separated from each other.
